Stormwater Management
The Federal Water Pollution Control Act and the Ohio Water Pollution Control Act (ORC Chapter 6111) set forth the requirements for small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4’s) to control and improve water quality. An MS4 is defined as a municipal separate storm sewer system that includes all conveyances of stormwater including roads with drainage systems, municipal streets, catch basins, curbs, gutters, ditches, man-made channels, or storm drains.
In Licking County, we are fortunate to have clean waterways. In fact, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency recently tested our waterways and found them to be much cleaner than the state average— something to be proud of. The MS4 Stormwater program is designed to help maintain our high water quality by explaining how water is managed by water and wastewater professionals, as well as how each and every one of us can help maintain healthy water in Licking County. The Village of Hebron is an active member of the Licking County and Others MS4 Stormwater Consortium.

Right of Way Use and Permitting
Weekly Mosquito Spraying Begins Tuesday, June 3
The Village of Hebron has partnered with the Licking County Health Department to begin weekly mosquito spraying every Tuesday from 8 PM to 12 AM, continuing through October. Spraying is weather dependent and will not occur during rain, high winds, temperatures below 60°F, or if residents are outdoors in the treatment area.
Health Reminder:
Residents with respiratory conditions should stay indoors and keep windows closed during spraying.
Help Prevent Mosquito Breeding:
Dump standing water around your home, including in flower pots, buckets, bird baths, and old tires.
**Mosquito traps are currently in place at Evans Park and Sun Acres Area. These boxes help monitor mosquito activity and test for diseases. Please do not tamper with them, as they are an important part of protecting public health.**
