Fire Hydrant Flushing Notice

Beginning Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, The Hebron Water Department will be conducting its 2020 fire hydrant flushing program. This maintenance program is a critical process that is designed to ensure the operational readiness of each village-owned fire hydrant in case of an emergency.  Flushing will take place on only weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. through end of the month.

During this period, you may notice a change in household water pressure and possible discoloration of the water. If you notice discoloration of the water, it is not harmful and will disappear in a short amount of time. However, it is strongly recommended that water customers refrain from laundering clothing while the water is discolored. Residents should run some water in a sink for one or two minutes, or until the water is clear.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (740) 928-8792. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your cooperation.

Another Note of Praise

Chief Larry Brooks,

I wanted to take a moment to let you know I believe we have one of the best police departments around. Every officer I have encountered for whatever reason demonstrates professionalism. I cannot tell you how very much I appreciate each one. Last night however, one officer stood out, and that was Officer Dick. The mounting frustration with longstanding neighborhood issues was becoming tiresome and I know it could be felt by all with the allegations, phone calls, etc. Last night Officer Dick responded and went far and above what I expected. I suggested a mediator be called in so the neighbors and I could discuss our issues and stop this nonsense. Officer Dick responded by becoming the mediator. Because of his action I finally feel a step in the right direction was taken. The future looks brighter now and I have hope we can continue to go in the right direction. Officer Dick, I can never thank you enough!! Kudo's to a job well done!! Also want to give a quick shout out and thank you to Officer Oliver who has responded to so, so many of these calls over the course of time and always responded with fairness and respect! Thank you again to the best Police Department around!!

Respectfully,
(name omitted for privacy)

A Note from a Happy Citizen

Some of our citizens are sending notes to the Hebron Police Department to express their gratitude for the vital service they provide, even in the midst of a global pandemic. We are proud of our Police Department and would like to share some of the many notes we have recently received. Check this page periodically as we share more notes in the coming weeks.

Here is a note from a very satisfied Hebron citizen…..

“With all the negativity we have going on in the world nowadays I was stranded in the middle of 79 today and a Hebron police officer went above and beyond to help me and get me to safety. Thank you sir, you're my knight in shining armor.”
