January 13, 2021 at 6 pm, the Licking County Health Department will partner with the Newark Advocate to host a virtual town hall meeting at the Midland Theatre to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.
The event will be broadcast live on the Midland's YouTube channel and will be shared on The Advocate and health department's social media channels. It will also be archived so it can be viewed at any time after it has ended.

Hebron Village Council will hold the 2021 annual Council organizational meeting at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. The purpose of the meeting is to elect a 2021 President of Council, administer Oaths of Office, appoint a facilitator for Combined Council Committees Meetings, make committee assignments, and set Council and Combined Committees Meeting schedules. The meeting will take place at the Municipal Complex, 934 West Main Street, Hebron.

COVID Relief Small Business Grant Program
The Licking County Chamber of Commerce is facilitating the “CARES Act COVID Relief Small Business Grant Program”, a locally-developed effort to support small businesses with 1-50 employees, battling through the current economic challenges. The Licking County Board of Commissioners has designated an amount of money from Federal CARES Act funds received by the county, to be distributed as grants to local small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Grant Program has received additional funding and is open again for applicants.

New Police Officer
A new Hebron police Officer has been sworn in.
Pius Piedu has been a full-time Franklin County deputy sheriff since 2016, that is currently assigned to corrections.
He has taken a part-time commission with the Village of Hebron to build patrol experience to further his career.

Lakewood School District food service program donation
The Village of Hebron has donated $400 to the Lakewood Local School District’s food service program. This money will help the District provide our bagged lunches for students learning remotely.
The District is currently averaging about 2500 meals it is distributing per week to these families. The District is distributing these meals at LHS and at Water's Edge in Buckeye Lake on Wednesdays.

COUNCIL VACANCY
Hebron Village Council is seeking applicants interested in being considered for appointment to fill a vacant Council seat. Village Council serves as the legislative branch of the local government and votes on laws and proposals relating to various community issues. Council persons make legislative decisions dealing with topics such as the allocation of funding to provide for public services, community development projects, or issues of land use and budget matters. The selected person would be expected to attend all meetings of Village Council. This appointment will fill an unexpired term that begins 1/1/21 and runs through 12/31/21. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a resident of Hebron and a registered voter. Interested residents should deliver a resume and letter of interest by 1pm on Friday, November 13, 2020 to the Hebron Municipal Complex, 934 W.
